Dear Seniors

Family, teachers, and staff can write a brief message to the class of 2020, or to any individual senior, with words of encouragement.

Callie Nguyen

"Callie, we are so proud of what you have achieved so far! This is a chapter in your biography that you will be able to go back and smile about. You'll reminisce about all the good and the bad and how much this pandemic has made you better! Go out there and rule the world for those you can not! Be the person you want to be! ♡ your mom and dad"

Seniors of the CPHS Leo Club

"Thank you and best wishes to all of the seniors of the CPHS Leo Club. Your volunteer efforts in the community, your leadership & guidance and your role modeling to underclassmen are all appreciated. Thank you to Grace, Malia, Alisha, Andy, Sam, Sara, Kylie - the seniors on the leadership team for all their work and direction. I know ALL OF YOU will do great things in the future because you did great things in high school by helping others! Best wishes!"

Jordyn Wagner

"Jordyn, to say I wish you the best, is far from what all I have to say for you. For me to say I am here no matter, is a promise to you regardless. Sending my Love has no contingency. Your value to me is beyond any precious metal or gem... you ARE a gem and in my eyes are worthy of anything I have to offer. My hope is that time, space and miles do not become greater in our connection. Nothing would please me more than to see your smile, hear your voice or feel your hugs. Be the best God has created you to be and give Him grace and thanks for everything. He is with you when I am not. I love you more than the stars in the sky and more than sand on earth. You are my Schweety!"

Medical Careers Students

"I miss you. You have left a mark on my heart and this school, and I know you will leave an impressive mark in your future career paths. This year didn't go quite according to your plan, but you are resilient, prepared, and stronger as a result. Keep in touch, I love to hear updates - no matter what path you take."

Class of 2020

"This is a time in your lives that you will never forget ... it should have been that way no matter what, but Covid-19 made it even more memorable! You are all remarkable human beings with a bright future. Keep your head held high and look to the clouds.

“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go...”

To my 2020 BPA class - I wish we could be together one more time before you graduate - but we still have online class! :) You will be missed... and yes, I mean ALL of you. You are each a special part of my life and will never be forgotten.

“And will you succeed? Yes! You will, indeed! (98 and 3/4 percent guaranteed.)

KID, YOU'LL MOVE MOUNTAINS!""

"You entered this world during the aftermath of 9/11.

You saw our country elect our first African American President TWICE!

You finished your senior year at home on a computer.

You are graduating during a worldwide Pandemic and unprecedented time in history! Kids in the future will read about you in history books!

My advisees -- CPHS Class of 2020,

Wow, 4 years have gone by quickly!  I miss you all very much, even though you might not think so!  We tend to take things for granted and when they change, we miss them. You, of all the classes at CPHS, know this!  You didn’t know that when you left the halls of CPHS to head out on spring break that it would be your last day as a student at CPHS; probably no one you know has had this kind of experience.

I’m very sad that I will not get to watch all of you walk across the stage at the Mariucci Arena on the U of M campus on June 7, 2020, as I would read your name for you and your family and friends to hear and cheer.  I won’t get to give you a hug or handshake.  But I can wish you the very best as you emerge from quarantine and make plans for your future.

You all have unique and special qualities -- make the most of them!  Appreciate the talents you have and don’t compare yourself to others, be YOUR best.

Best of luck to you and find success in all you do. Class of 2020 you are doing something unique that you will only share with other 2020 graduates.  Be brave, be leaders, be kind, be inquisitive, be forgiving.  Now,  buckle up, drive safe, and GO BE THE TRUE REBELS YOU ARE!
